Observation: a scruffy looking guy with day-old stubble gets on the bus and sits in front of me. His left hand: nails are short, neatly trimmed and clean. Right hand: long, manicured, almond-shaped nails that appear to be buffed.
My thoughts: is he getting in touch with his feminine side, but only with one hand? What's wrong with his left hand, too much testosterone there? Nails refuse to grow past a certain length? He only had enough time to trim his nails on one hand? He likes to scratch using his right hand? WTH?

My ex played classic guitar and was constantly trying to grow out his nails--but just on that hand. I was adamantly against it because long nails on guys creep me out, much less one one hand.
