t-squared

I don't know what to make of it, but this video definitely put a smile on my face: "Call me T-Sweezy now I'm a rap star"

the king of pop has left the building

Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest today at the age of 50. While listening to a radio station's tribute to the King of Pop, playing all his #1 hits and the lyrics from "Beat It" and "Billy Jean" floating around my head, I can't help but think what a shock this is for a lot of people. With the amount of chemicals and plastic in his body, I thought he would never age or die. Literally.

I liked his songs, but I was never a huge fan. But, I do respect his talent and his contributions to the music industry. For a lot of singers and entertainers, he was their idol, their inspiration and their reason for being in the music industry. I mean, who hasn't tried to emulate Michael Jackson? The moonwalk, the songs, the crotch grabs... He's the King of Pop! And he will be greatly missed.

i choo-choo choose you!

With the recent collaboration between Matthew Williamson and H&M for spring and summer tucked away on the clearance shelves and racks at your local store, it's time to announce who the next collaborator is: Jimmy Choo. That's right, the shoe guru will be designing a collection of shoes, bags and accessories for H&M's holiday collection. Mark down the date: November 14th. I might have to call in sick...

Check out the video below for the Matthew Williamson and H&M collaboration for summer, if you haven't seen it yet:

"We need a change!"

*****

Spent the day outdoors, enjoying the sunshine (it was hot!) and watching dragons racing along False Creek. Lots of fun, lots of food and lots of cute dogs!

Kitty afraid of heights?

Dragons in action.

So cute!!!

Getting some luvin' from his fans.

Pooped out from all that luvin'.

Two of a kind.

clothing optional

Saturday: shopping downtown with my little sister. While she was in the changing room at French Connection, I was outside taking snapshots of this:

Yep, that's right. Nude cyclists. Well, mostly nude. The girls had body paint to cover up their private business, while the guys wore thongs. Although, they're were the select few who went commando. At least it was sunny...

Sunday: spend the afternoon checking out the Anime Evolution convention with some friends. I didn't dress up but these people did:

I don't know what characters they were dressed up as, it just made a good photo.

A green robot?

She was attracting a lot of attention. I'm sure it was because of her, ah... weapons.

I wanted to pet this character, but I thought that might be rude.

Love the ears.

One of our friends dressed up as Spiderman (Venom?) and everyone was like, "Hey Spidey!" and high-fiving him and asking for his photograph.

I don't get it.

You know the convention was good when Jesus decides to drop by.

*wink*

Wink Lounge celebrated their one-year anniversary with a 3-day La Dolce Vita event. My friend and I stopped by on Saturday to celebrate and ended up buying lots of nail polish (OPI was 30% off!). Free mini spa services, pink champagne & drinks, delicious appetizers, discounts and free samples were given out during this birthday event. With each purchase, you also got to spin the Wink wheel to win additional prizes or discounts. I ended up getting some free samples of mascara and a 15% discount coupon that I spent towards a lovely scarf while my friend got a makeup pouch. All in all, it was a good day of girly fun.
